Šibenik could be your starting point to visit two national parks.
Šibenik cathedral is the only one in Europe built entirely of stone without the use of bonding plaster and wooden structures so it is not surprising that such a unique monument of architecture was listed in the World Heritage by UNESCO. The cathedral is the most important architectural achievement in the Croatian territory in 15th and 16th centuries.
If you visit Šibenik in late June, be sure to visit International Children’s Festival. It is an event that brings together children from all over the world with a goal of erasing the borders between nations.
