Korčula

Korčula is one of oldest settled island in Croatia settled by Greek colonists in ancient times.

Korcula is branded as the birthplace of the great Marco Polo, however, although this has never been proven, tourists come to visit his alleged birth house. Its story is true or not, Korčula is an attractive place of well-preserved city walls from the 14th century whose peculiarity that has been made on the principle of a fish bone to and on the hottest day in the old town was shady. Within the walls, there are towers of Barbarigo, Tiepolo, Balbi and Capello.
